Easy Homemade Avocado Lime Ranch Dressing

Creamy homemade avocado lime ranch dressing made with ripe avocado, Greek yogurt, fresh lime juice and herbs. A healthy ranch alternative perfect for salads, wraps and dipping.

Food processor or stick blender
Measuring cups and spoons
Knife and chopping boards
Mason jar or an airtight container for storage if you make extra

Ingredients
  

  • ½ ripe avocado
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice about 1 whole lime
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
  • ½ clove of fresh garlic or ½ a teaspoon of minced garlic fresh is better
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Optional:

  • 1 –2 thin slices green chili or jalapeño for heat
  • A couple of tablespoons of water if the dressing is too thick for your liking

Instructions
 

  • Add avocado, Greek yogurt, lime juice, olive oil, Dijon mustard, garlic, cilantro, and seasonings to a food processor.
  • Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning or lime juice if needed.
  • If the dressing feels too thick, add a small splash of water or extra lime juice and blend again.
  • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge.
