Chocolate Ninja Creami Frozen Yogurt Recipe

Equipment

1 Ninja Creami Ice Cream Machine
1 Immersion (stick) blender Or regular blender, you can transfer the contents to the pint after

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups of plain Greek yogurt full-fat or low-fat (higher protein is great too)
  • 3 tbspns of cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 4 tbspns of raw natural cane sugar or coconut sugar add more if needed
  • 1 tbspn of vanilla extract optional for more flavor
  • 1/4 tspn of xanthan gum if using low-fat yogurt
  • 1/8 tspn of guar gum if using low-fat yogurt

Instructions
 

  • Using a stick blender, directly in the Ninja Creami pint container, blend together the Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, sweetener, xanthan and guar gums if using, and vanilla until completely smooth. Or use a regular blender and transfer the blended mixture into the pint after.
  • Freeze for approximately 20-24 hours, or until completely solid.
  • Spin on Light Ice Cream mode.
  • If crumbly, add 1–2 tablespoons milk or yogurt and re-spin until creamy.

Notes

Nutritional values are approximate and may vary depending on the type of yogurt you use. The above values are based on full-fat yogurt, which is my preferred option.
